Bridgewater Day Care Centre Closure for the State Funeral on Monday 19th September 2022

Everyone at the Day Care Centre is greatly saddened by the news that Her Majesty the Queen has died.

Following the announcement of the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19th September, we will be respectfully closing the Day Care Centre on this day, in honour of our late Queen as she takes her final journey and to allow our staff, visitors and their families who wish to follow the momentous events of the day to do so.

During this time of mourning our visitors took the time this week to make a Remembrance collage of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

In honour and Memoriam of the life and service of Queen Elizabeth II, the collage reflects heartfelt thanks and memories, uniting us in our reflection during this period of national mourning.

We chatted about what we know and remember about her and discussed the ways in which she will be remembered in Britain and around the world.

We continue to offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family during this difficult time.

The National Moment of Reflection will take place at 8 pm on Sunday 18 September, the night before the State Funeral, and be marked by a one-minute silence.
