Hi, my name is Lisa, I live locally in Golborne. I joined Bridgewater Day Care in 2014. Since looking after my dad who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, I became his registered carer and knew that this was the career path I wanted to take. Initially I started in care as a bank nurse at Leigh Infirmary and then moved to work for home care services. I went to college to study Health and Social Care and passed my NVQ Level 2, I have also completed my Level 5 Leadership and Management and wish to progress my career in Health and Social Care, in particular around Dementia / Memory loss.
I find it so rewarding to have a job that makes me feel that I have made a difference to people’s lives, to help them with their independence, to have a better life, to support people and watch their confidence grow is fantastic whilst their family and loved ones know they are in safe hands and being well looked after.
I can honestly say it is a pleasure to come to work and spend my days with lovely people here at Bridgewater Day Care.
